Having this store I have come to realization of the strength and loyalty to Aloha in Southern California. A customer, Ron F., came in the shop and bought a few Hawaiian shirts and then invited me to a house concert he was holding at his house in Camarillo. Ron opened his house to an up-and-coming slack-key guitarist from Hawaii, Danny Carvalho. You would think most house concerts would be held in the living room or on the lawn in the backyard. Not here. This backyard rivaled any of the best Tiki-themed backyards I have ever seen. Danny said it best “I could be home in Hawaii right now.”
Not only did Danny perform, but Nani Edgar performed hula along side him with her mother Pua’nani. It was an amazing afternoon of music, food and Aloha!
Please get out there and support Hawaiian music!
Parked in front of the store was this Classic 1967 Oldsmobile Vista Cruiser. This would be an epic surf wagon. You could easily fit a 12′ longboard inside. What surfer wouldn’t want this?
The world’s only Indie Cover band and friends. The Black Crystal Wolf Kids.
Had a few photos lying around from the previous nights shoot and thought it would make a great gif!
Primo Beer Hawaiian shirts make me smile!!!!
